Cupping Secrets was created in 2012 by a Massage Therapist as a means of teaching her clients about cupping and for how to perform basic cupping on themselves at home between professional sessions for increased benefit. Other therapists began sharing cupping secrets with their clients and patients and it grew from there. Cupping Secrets is not intended to replace professional treatment by healthcare providers, as advanced cupping treatments should always be performed by a Professional Health Care Providers trained in cupping. Cupping Secrets is sharing basic cupping instructions for home use as well as various cupping information for trained healthcare providers here online in an effort to help improve your results alongside your therapist.
Professionally Trained Cupping Providers are not limited to, but can consist of the following: Chinese Medicine Doctors/Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Nurses, Athletic Trainers and more.
STEP 1: WARNINGS & CONTRAINDICATIONS
Cupping is a safe and effective treatment for many ailments when used properly, however just like with most all things in life, there are warnings and contraindications and for your safety, you are responsible for taking the time to read and understand before beginning your cupping. Just as the old saying goes “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink it”. So drink up!! (Not that we are calling you a horse, but we want to get your attention. 🙂
